Shafiq was Born 1989 in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. He graduated from B.A in Fine Art, Uitm Shah Alam, Majoring in Painting (2012), and got a diploma at Uitm, Lendu majoring Fine Art (2010). 

Instead of producing paintings about the victims and casualties of geopolitical games like many unimaginative and lesser painters, Shafiq goes straight for the jugular, launching his scathing attacks on the victimizers. 

He got awards from MEA AWARD (2013) and VICE CHANCELLOR AWARD UITM (2012). He had so many exhibition like solo exhibition at IMPERIUM, HOM Art Trans, Kuala Lumpur (2016), and group exhibitions in 2016 Rising Lenght of Light, with Redbase Contemporary Art, Artotel Jakarta, Indonesia, ArtAids, WhiteBox, Publika, Kuala Lumpur, IMPERIUM, HOM Art Trans, Kuala Lumpur.
