Davina was born on 24th August 1968 in Wellington, New Zealand. She has spent most of her life living in Asia.

Her artistic practice reflects a seamless balance between Western and Eastern perspectives. Her work often explores the interaction between nature, culture, and identity, with a focus on the spirit of island and oceanic environments. Deeply inspired by her active lifestyle including a passion for surfing and diving. Stephens art reflects a dynamic relationship with the natural world and coastal living.
