Anastasia is an Indonesian photographer, born in Jakarta. Before she became a photographer, her love for fashion brought her to Paris and Milan to study fashion and jewelry design. After finishing her studies, she returned to Indonesia to pursue a career in the media and fashion industry. Later, she went on to establish her own successful jewelry and accessory line under the name Tasha D. Gioelli. Her love affair with photography began when she was 9 years old. She started taking pictures and never stopped since. She photographed during her years in Paris and Milan and used them as inspirations for her studies, which later inspired Anastasia to explore her interest in photography further. Her work focuses on documentary, portraiture, street and travel photography. Throughout her career behind the camera, Anastasia has contributed to various prints and online media around the world, including DestinAsian Indonesia, L’Officiel, Marie Claire Indonesia, and South China and Morning Post amongst others. She is currently based in Hong Kong. During her free time, she gives back to the community by teaching photography for free to Indonesian migrant domestic workers in Hong Kong through workshops and online seminars.
