Soni Irawan was born in Yogyakarta, 1975. He studied in the Visual Art Faculty, Fine Arts Department, majoring in Printmaking in the Indonesian Art Institute situated in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. A musician and one of the founders of a Jogjakarta experimental band Seek Six Sick, Soni's art is greatly influenced by the spirit and energy of rock music. His choices of artistic techniques and medium are in line with his musical practice. He has many solo exhibitions like “Crop Season”, Artsphere Gallery, Art Moment, Jakarta, Indonesia (2018), “Electric Jungle”, Mapping Melbourne, No Vacancy Gallery, Melbourne, Australia (2017) “Nothing Perfect Noise”, D Gallerie, Jakarta, Indonesia (2017).
