Prihatmoko Moki

ARTIST BIO

 Prihatmoko Moki was born in 1982 and is based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. He graduated in Fine Arts with a major in Printmaking from the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta.
His practice focuses on silkscreen printing, which he uses to explore narratives of mythology, politics, and Javanese culture through satire and dark humor. His works often challenge ideas of originality while promoting art as accessible and reproducible. 

Moki participated in the group exhibition Friction & Prajurit Kalah Tanpa Raja at Redbase Foundation, Indonesia.

He received the Silver Award for UOB Painting of the Year (Established Artist Category) in 2021. His ID Politics series is part of the collection at the National Gallery of Victoria, Australia. In 2016. He has also exhibited at dia.lo.gue Artspace, LIR Space, Srisasanti Gallery, and was featured in Biennale Jogja XIII and the Setouchi Triennale in Japan.
