Zoe is a Chinese new media artist born in 1995, whose practice spans robotic arts, video, and installation. Her work explores how individual identity, intergeneration- al memory, and emotional disconnection are shaped in the digital age. Drawing on irony and absurdity, she critically examines the complex relationship between technology, selfhood, and social systems.
Li’s artistic vision emphasizes the fragility and ambiguity of communication in contemporary life. She often uses per- sonal narratives as a starting point to reflect broader cul- tural and psychological questions. Through her works, she seeks to evoke subtle emotional shifts and prompt viewers to reflect on their place within systems of power, memory, and perception.
She exhibited her project in venues such as Ming Contemporary Art Museum, Shanghai, Shenzhen Art Museum, Song Art Museum, Beijing, 2022 Beijing Biennial, Wuhan Biennale 2022, Macao International Art Biennale 2023, Latitude Gallery, NYC, and xCoAx 2021, TEI 2024, SIGGRAPH Art Gallery 2024, and she has gained recognition for her innovative use of robotics and AI as creative media. Currently she is a PhD candidate researching robotic arts
