Taerim Jeon was born in South Korea. She graduated with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Visual Communication Design from Hongik University, Seoul.
Taerim’s artistic practice focuses on reinterpreting Jogakbo, the traditional Korean patchwork technique. Her works often reflect themes of identity, memory, and connection to nature, expressed through layered silk textiles dyed with natural pigments from both Korea and Australia.
In 2025, Taerim Jeon participated in a group exhibition Seamline: Narrative of Identity and Memory at Redbase Art Sydney.
She has also exhibited her work at the Australian Design Centre, Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA), M2 Gallery, Saywell Gallery, and Cascade Concept Gallery, where she held her first solo exhibition.
We pay our respects to the Gundungurra people who are the traditional custodians of the land. We acknowledge Elders past, present and emerging for their immense spiritual connection to place which was never ceded.
