ARTIST BIO

Bonnie Huang is a gatherer of textures and emotions. Working on Dharug land across sculpture, installation, photomedia, and performance, they configure everyday materials to reveal intimacies, dreams, and structures that lie beneath the surface. Informed by their own identity, they reference symbols and images of both personal and collective spheres.

They were the recipient of Parramatta Artists’ Studios 2024 Fellowship and USU’s Creative Awards Prize from Verge Gallery in 2021. Bonnie has participated in residencies through Hyphenated Projects and recent exhibitions include Pari, Schmick Contemporary, Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, Blacktown Arts Centre and Firstdraft.
