Abdurrohman Wahid was born in Bekasi, West Java in 1989. He graduated from the Faculty of Languages and Arts at Jakarta State University (UNJ). In addition to his role as an art teacher, he is also actively producing art work and combining visual practices with a critical pedagogical approach.
Abdurrohman works primarily in painting, combining traditional techniques with a contemporary visual. His works reflect urban narratives, social behavior, and the quiet tension of everyday life. Abdurrohman explores both figurative and abstract forms influenced by popular culture, and personal experiences.
Abdurrohman’s recent works have been featured at “Winds of Change” Group exhibition at Redbase Foundation (2022), 2Madison Chapter#1 2021, 2Madison Chapter#2 and 2Madison Chapter#3 in Jakarta.
