Imes Paskalia was born in 1996 in Indonesia. She is an emerging artist based in Jakarta. After graduating from Lasalle College of The Arts, Singapore, majoring in Fine Arts (2018) she went back home to Indonesia for good and actively practiced her art until now, mostly in painting and drawing.
At that period of time, she’s been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and Post-Traumatic Syndrome Disorder (PTSD) which make her art practice deeply personal. She believes that her abstract approach to the canvas is her intangible feelings, visible visual memories from the past until present time, also the form of her psychosis and thoughts.
Paskalia has participated in various art exhibitions like; “Underline” Group Exhibition at Redbase Foundation (2023), “Scabulous” Solo Exhibition at Redbase Foundation (2021).
Paskalia has been involved in numerous group exhibitions in Indonesia, Cakravala, Indonesia, Chiarobytes, Jakarta, Indonesia, and many more.
We pay our respects to the Gundungurra people who are the traditional custodians of the land. We acknowledge Elders past, present and emerging for their immense spiritual connection to place which was never ceded.
