He Wenjue was born in 1970, in Hunan, china.
His series “Reproduction Worship” reflects our ancestors’ pursuit of happiness and desire for a successful career, and conveys their praise and longing for the productive ability in mother nature. Reproduction is the animal’s most fundamental desire in the world of competition, and also the most profound instinct ever since the beginning of human revolution. Behind the libido is the instinct of reproduction that is as crystal clear as the glass with no impurities at all. In this series of works, I choose to create these straightforward images of the genital organs, with the intention of celebrating the greatness of life. Every life is like a unique flower, whose essence is pure, beautiful and full of vitality.
