Yopi Cahyono (b. 1979 in Malang, East Java)

Artist Statement

My creative process is simplifying forms, creating visuals of course, representations of my life experiences, what I experience, what I see & feel. Almost all of the messages in my work are portraits of everyday moments, where I consider every change in time to be a lesson. From everyday moments that become my creative ideas & I express them into works through elements of line, plane, color, texture & shape. and in my opinion form is not a certainty and neither is this life, form will continue to change along with the development of our thinking.
