Imes Paskalia is an emerging artist based in Jakarta. After graduated from Lasalle College of The Arts, Singapore, majoring in Fine Arts (2018) she went back home to Indonesia for good and actively practicing her art until now, mostly in painting and drawing. At that period of time, she’s been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and Post-Traumatic Syndrome Disorder (PTSD) which make her art practice are deeply personal. She believes that her abstract approach on to the canvas is her intangible feelings, a visible visual memories from the past until present time, also the form of her psychosis and thoughts.
Imes’ recent and current exhibitions include ‘Perspective Project x Clyde&Co’ (2020) held in London, ‘On Fragility’ and ‘In-Between’ (2021) with Cakravala Virtual Space, ‘Suicide Loss Survivor’ (2020) and ‘Sangka Rekah’ (2019).
