ARTIST BIO

Chandra Rosselini was born in Jakarta, 1995. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art degree from Institut Teknologi Bandung and is currently in the Master Program at Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta.

His works are like a journal of personal life. He interprets artwork like a journal, because he feels it observes everyday events then depict them in an artwork as a manifestation of all his spilled emotions. In this process, he opens up intimate reflections, transforming them into visual narratives that speak both personally and universally. Chandra practice also raises discourse around intersex identity, using art to navigate and voice themes often overlooked in mainstream conversations.

He has exhibited extensively in Indonesia, including “Macam-macam” group exhibition at Redbase Foundation Indonesia, Yogyakarta (2019), Task, Galeri Pascasarjana ISI Yogyakarta (2019), Galeri Nasional Indonesia.
