A Group Exhibitions
‘Macam’ is equal to English ‘type, kind, or variety’, and repeated word ‘macam-macam’ has the same meaning with ‘various, assorted, or variegated’. There is no specific conceptual purpose that this exhibition will narrate, but we aim to present explorative works which are very ‘diverse’ we found in the creative practice of young artists. Explora- tion that we can find here is not only limited to the tech- nique, but also the medium, and the concept of each work. And we think that “macam-macam!” is a suitable phrase to describe this show roughly, both in terms of type, material, style, and so forth.
