Aditya Chandra, Born in Indonesia 1986, is an artist currently based in Yogyakarta. He obtained his bachelor's degree from Indonesian institute of the art, majoring in sculpture in 2012. Aditya practices in reconstruction and reformulation of the various media and materials that he uses, taking into account various points of view, both in terms of the function and meaning contained in the material, can be in the form of objects (ready made) or found objects (findings). Also in gaining an understanding of these components, He reaches a point where He’s fully aware of the new entity of creating, envisioning some sort of territory or base where art is capable of being part of an ecosystem that has always had a connection between humans and the environment. Some manifestations that resemble animals or plants, skulls, skeletons or organic patterns in most of my works, are the result of cause and effect, the correlation between humans and the environment where not everything always has a positive result.
His artistic excellence has earned him international acclaim, with exhibitions ranging from solo showcases to group presentations across Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Hungaria. Notable highlights include his participation in prestigious events like the Fine Art Exhibition, "A Wake Up Call From The Posthuman" , Hatch Art Project, Singapore (2019) and Biennale Jateng #2 "The Future of History" Semarang (2018), and also Exhibition visual, “Art for our life” Gallery of the raday Konyveshaz, Hungaria, Europe (2010).
