Dian Suci graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the Indonesia Islamic University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia (2009), and is currently based in Yogyakarta.
Rooted in her background in spatial and structural design, Suci artistic practice transcends the boundaries of architecture, interesting with visual art to explore personal narratives, memory, and social commentary. Her works often reflect a deep engagement with everyday environments and lived experiences, processed through conceptual frameworks that challenge perception and interaction. Drawing on both architectural logic and intuitive sensibilities, she creates pieces that evoke a subtle tension between functionality and poetic expression.
Suci has participated in group exhibitions including “Macam-macam“ at Redbase Foundation Indonesia, Yogyakarta (2019); ARTJOG 2025; Mizuma Gallery; and Biennale Jogja XV; and many more.
In 2021, Suci was awarded the Gold Winner, Established Artist Category at the UOB Painting of the Year Indonesia.
We pay our respects to the Gundungurra people who are the traditional custodians of the land. We acknowledge Elders past, present and emerging for their immense spiritual connection to place which was never ceded.
