Udien AEE (born in Surabaya, 1991) is a visual artist currently living and working in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. He graduated from the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta. In his artistic practice, Udien is known for his works that depict childhood worlds through a strong pop art visual style, drawing inspiration from comics and cartoons. Bright colors and childlike figurative characters dominate his visual narratives, often conveying messages of honesty, innocence, and subtle social critique.
In 2019, Udien AEE participated in a group exhibition titled “Macam-macam” at Redbase Foundation, Yogyakarta. He has also held a solo exhibition at Widya Mataram University, Yogyakarta, and participated in various exhibitions at independent art spaces in the city.
His achievements include being a finalist in the Hendra Gunawan Spectrum Award at Ciputra Artpreneur, Jakarta, and a finalist in the Indonesian Art Award at the National Gallery of Indonesia, Jakarta.
