ARTIST BIO

 Hendra Priyadhani, also known as Hendra Blankon was born in 1981, Ponorogo, Indonesia. He graduated from the Faculty of Visual Art, majoring in Graphic Art (Printmaking) at the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta, and currently lives and works in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

Priyadhani is a visual artist and rock musician whose practice centers on reusing and recycling materials secondhand objects, vintage goods, flea market finds, and assemblage or found objects presented in two dimensional, three dimensional, and performative forms. Through his fusion of  fashion, music, and lifestyle, he addresses issues of popular culture under the concept of “fine art rock”.His creative process embraces a DIY aesthetic and subcultural sensibility that challenges conventional boundaries between art and life.

Priyadhani recent work has been featured in “Rising Length of Light” group exhibition at Redbase Foundation Indonesia (2017), “Neglected Ordinaries” and “Neglected Ordinaries Jakarta” group exhibition at Redbase Foundation Indonesia (2016).

Priyadhani has been involved in numerous group exhibitions in Indonesia, Paris Hotel de L'industrie, France, and Darren Knight Gallery, Sydney.
