Robert X Olga are a collaborative artist duo based in Indonesia. Both hold Master's degrees in fine art education and have been committed to artistic practice since childhood. They began their collaboration in 2013 and formalized their partnership through marriage in 2019.
Working primarily with installation, Robert X Olga are known for their use of soft sculpture and fabric-based reliefs. Their choice of textile—often fabric waste—reflects a deep connection to everyday domestic life. Drawing from simple routines, shared experiences, and spontaneous moments, their works transform mundane realities into imaginative, tactile narratives. Their artistic process embraces intuition and play, combining materials and techniques to highlight ordinary issues with poetic sensibility.
In 2022, Robert X Olga participated in the group exhibition Winds of Change at Redbase Foundation, Yogyakarta.
They have also exhibited at Museum of Toys (Indonesia), ARTJOG MMXIX at Jogja National Museum, and numerous other platforms across Indonesia.
We pay our respects to the Gundungurra people who are the traditional custodians of the land. We acknowledge Elders past, present and emerging for their immense spiritual connection to place which was never ceded.
