Argya (born Jakarta 1991) is a graduate from Bandung Institute of Technology, Ceramic Craft major. His ceramic work appears as a configuration of his ‘spamming’ philosophy, those seemingly random. He is known for his playful, whimsical yet cynical artworks. He creates objects based around the ideas of creating objects out of forms with the raw, unpolished and surreal finish. His recent solo exhibition As Delicious As My Forehead was held at the Ruang Dua Sembilan, Jakarta in 2019. His group exhibitions include the Jakarta Contemporary Ceramic Biennale Coefficient of Expansion at the National Gallery of Indonesia, Jakarta in 2014, and Art Central HK at the RedBase Foundation, Hong Kong in 2016. In his journey in the art industry, he was awarded the 2nd Runner-up of Trimatra Salihara Competition at Komunitas Salihara, Jakarta.
